The latest news to make its way to us regarding Korean car firm Hyundai is that the company could very well be all set to produce a new pick-up truck to go on sale in the future. Earlier on in the year the brand revealed a concept version of a truck badged as the Santa Cruz at the Detroit Motor Show and the vehicle received a great positive reaction from the public. However now according to the research and development team over at Hyundai they could be planning on producing the model in the future or something similar to the concept that was shown in Detroit. This kind of vehicle looks like it would be more aimed at the American market but there would be potential for a launch here in the United Kingdom too. For the moment though Hyundai said that there were some obstacles in the way of a production model and with no information being given on what these are, it could be a little difficult to tell as to when the new model would see a grand debut. This is certainly a story that has caught our attention though and we will continue to bring you the latest on these on going developments as and when we have it.
The Vertu Motors Group have opened up their fifth Renault-Dacia showroom located in Nottingham here in the UK. The company originally bough the premises in 2013 but up until recently was used as a training facility for apprentice technicians. The area has been redesigned now as the new showroom has officially opened. This is just the beginning for the Motor Group who now have their sights on opening around another 170 showrooms across the UK over the next number of years. The new showroom is also one of the most up to date dealerships as it takes an interactive approach with the showroom by offering digital ways in order for buyers to view the entire Renault/Dacia range even when the cars are not there in front of them.
The British Touring Car Championship has been the proving ground over the years for a lot of hot hatch vehicles and this year looks to be no different as the Honda racing team will debut the brand new Civic Type R for the season. You can expect these cars to look slightly different compared to production models that are going to be launched as they will be more focused on off roading tracks. Engine power will come from a two litre turbocharged engine though giving out 350 brake horse power. This will be one of the first times that we get to see the new Civic Type R performing and test cars with no liveries have been seen ahead of testing.
