Aequitas Automotive Ltd is based in a Grade 1 listed building in the historic Hamilton Square in Birkenhead, Merseyside. Hamilton Square contains the most Grade 1 listed buildings in the UK, outside Trafalgar Square in London.
Hamilton Square is a stones thrown from the banks of the River Mersey, with the famous Woodside Ferry Terminal a few hundred yards away.
Aequitas House was purchased (and renamed after our company) in 2015. Following an extensive renovation, we moved our staff into the building in 2016. Aequitas Automotive Ltd also purchased the neighbouring building in 2016, to ensure we have room to grow with the business.
Aequitas House is not your typical office building. With grand marble fireplaces, large sash windows and a grand, central staircase it certainly provides a sense of history seldom found in a workplace.
Why so many Gap Insurance brands?
Aequitas Automotive do take a different approach than many of our competitors, although some have followed our lead, in that we run multiple brands offering similar products. So why not just have one website offering one Gap Insurance product? Well, in our experience all insurers have different strengths and weaknesses when it comes to what they can underwrite and the premiums they would charge. As an insurance broker, Aequitas Automotive Ltd wants to find a solution for our customers each time. If we only promoted products from one insurer then we cannot compare a range of options for our client.
By operating several brands, with products from different insurers, we can match the best option for each enquiry we get. Sometimes it can be the case that we get an enquiry for cover that is not provided by most Gap Insurance underwriters, like for a motorhome, a taxi or a motorbike. We can offer cover for those.
We can also find that we can offer a choice of options for the same type of cover. For example, for a Return to Invoice Gap, we may have options from a Lloyds of London syndicate on GapInsurance123, a specialist Gap Insurance provider on Total Loss Gap and a fixed sum claim option on Easy Gap. We can compare cover and premiums and leave it to the customer to decide which policy is best for them. All options are sold by Aequitas Automotive Ltd, we are just trying to offer the best fit and value each time.

Very quick an easy, but the only slight disappointment is that is no where to get your existing customer discount on the web site. You have to phone for that and if you need the cover to start at the weekend you miss out. Shame.
