Jaguar XF tests begin-BMW confident in 2015-Smart Fortwo dual clutch option

Last year was a perfect all round year for BMW on both the car and motorcycle front. They topped the sales charts on their cars and remained the number one luxury car maker in the world and for their motorbike division they had their best selling year to date. With a new year beginning, the company will be looking to maintain the momentum they have received over the past twelve months and judging by comments from BMW, they are certain of the success that they will carry this year. They are confident that they will be able to maintain sales. The brand are to launch a total of fifteen brand new vehicles onto the road this year world wide and this could very well be the additions that help them to stay on top of the mountain. Ian Robertson who is the executive for sales and marketing in BMW has commented that he feels confident about their run this year due to the number of new cars becoming available and that these new models will help the company to increase their new car sales count across all countries.

Jaguar conduct more vehicle road tests

Jaguar are all set to release their new XF model around multiple countries from the Spring time of this year with the car looking to make an impact mostly on the European market. The exciting news though is that ahead of the cars unveiling, the model has been spotted undergoing testing on the road hidden under a large range of disguise. The Brits will be aiming at a much more agile and dynamic driving performance than ever before with their new XF and it is said that the motor will adopt some design traits from the popular XE. Heavy disguising made sure that we could not see just how many new features Jaguar are bringing to the table but a V8 engine giving out a good range of power is to be expected from launch. New technology is to be incorporated into the car by the fitting of a new touch screen system built into the centre console. Our first glimpse of the new XF will come from the New York Motor Show this coming April and the first deliveries for the new model are expected to come in August. More on the new Jaguar XF as and when we receive it.

A new dual clutch transmission for the Smart Fortwo

The new Smart Fortwo model is now on sale and will arrive in showrooms from March. Smart have however today outlined their plans for optional features to come along with the car from launch and they have confirmed that an optional dual clutch transmission system will be made available with the car for any customers wanting the option. If however the dual clutch setup is not really your kind of thing,Smart will offer you a five speed manual gearbox instead as standard. The Smart Fortwo is offered in petrol form with a one litre, three cylinder unit completing the line up. This means that the car will emit 94g/km of C02 emissions and will therefore carry itself onwards to total top speeds of 151 miles per hour which can be seen as very impressive for a small variant of car. Smart have revealed that entry level models will go on sale from 12,170 Euros in Germany converting to around the £9,265 figure in the UK.
