Looking for that ideal Christmas present for a loved one or even a treat for yourself this year and are a smaller city car fan? Then the new Fortwo model from Smart could be just the ideal vehicle you are looking for. The car will officially go on our roads here in Britain from this coming November and today here at Gap 123, we have all of the latest information available on the car including all of the brand new features you can expect to receive. The vehicle is compact just like all previous additions of Smart cars on the road but this time, the vehicle receives some new styling tweaks and added pieces of equipment that could prove to be that tipping point in which you decide this could be the car for you.
So what kind of features you can expect to receive with the car this November?. Well for such a smaller car, the engine unit and power that the vehicle develops is very good.70 brake horse power and 91NM of Torque is delivered from the fitting of a 1.0 litre, three cylinder petrol engine which is also fitted with a six speed,DTC automatic transmission system. This rear wheel drive vehicle is capable of reaching top speeds of 94 miles per hour and is helped to reach this destination by the 14.9 seconds in which it takes the car to reach the 62 miles per hour area from a standing start. The interior of the car is equipped with black and orange inserts and aluminium pedals. The dashboard stands out very well in full orange colouring too. The size of the car is something that has always been important to the Smart selection and this is the case once more as the car is still very compact.
The vehicle does also benefit from some connectivity features also which includes Bluetooth, USB and SD card connectivity. A seven inch built in screen will also be included with the Fortwo as will the sat nav system which can be controlled by your voice too. This will work much in the same way as the Ford SYNC technology does and it could bring the fight to other small city cars such as the Toyota Aygo too.
The vehicle will be available to own from November of this year. In terms a cost that will come along with the new Fortwo, expect to make the purchase on this brand new addition to the Smart range for a purchase price of around the £11,000 area.
