Volkswagen Touran 2015

New Volkswagen Touran

A number of images have been released online which seem to show the Volkswagen Touran during testing. The new model was pictured under heavy disguise during testing. The German mass market manufacturer are yet to confirm when the model is going to be released.

However, it is believed that the new MPV at Volkswagen will arrive some time next year. The new shape of the Touran model seems to illustrate a decrease in both weight and size as the model looks to improve fuel economy figures to help give it the advantage over competitors.

In terms of design features on the model, the most noticeable being the crease running along the side of the model. Other than the one obvious feature it is very unclear to see any other external changes on the model. The Touran model will be part of the assault on the MPV car market in the next 12 months.

Volkswagen have enjoyed a considerable amount of success in markets such as the SUV market in the past 12 months and are hoping to continue the success in the MPV market. The likes of the Renault Espace and the Citroen Picasso are set to be discontinued in the MPV car market due to a jump in sales trends.

The Volkswagen brand have been amongst the best selling brands so far this year as models such as the Golf and the Polo continue to sell in markets such as the European. Other brands under the Volkswagen Group have been assisting the Volkswagen firm in achieving the sales target for this year which is of course 10 million new cars.

The Audi brand who are of course owned by Volkswagen have been amongst the quickest selling manufacturers along with the best selling manufacturers this year. The Audi brand has in fact overtaken the likes of BMW and Mercedes in the luxury car market.

The Volkswagen Touran model is set to be built on the versatile MQB architecture at Volkswagen.
