Electric vehicles are quite popular at this particular time, we have seen brands such as the Toyota company and the German automaker BMW include EV models to their line up over the past number of years. Today it has been confirmed that a companies full range is set to be kitted out with a V6 diesel electric engine and that company we are referring to is Audi. It has been confirmed that the full Audi line up will receive this new EV engine range further down the line with the first model set to receive this engine being the A8 e-tron. Chief technical officer of Audi Dr.Hackenberg confirmed the A8 will be the first model on the agenda for the car firm. Electronic vehicles are quickly rising to fame and could very well be a considerable option for all car brands into the future. So for Audi a company who are famous for for doing everything there is to do in the car industry, this could be a very huge step.
So in regards to rates for this particular model, not a lot has been confirmed at this moment in time but Audi have announced some features. The new engine range will benefit from a 3.0 litre tank which produce a total amount of power around the 368 brake horse power area and will deliver around 700NM of Torque. It has also been confirmed that range wise from the EV motor, you can expect the new line up to hit a total of around 30 miles from a full charge before the fuel tank kicks in.
We are unsure as of yet whether or not along with the new engine ranges Audi models will benefit from some new additional features. We are currently awaiting more on this. One thing is for sure though, with one of the worlds leading car brands joining the EV line up the likes of Nissan with the Leaf and BMW with the i3 will certainly have a fight on their hands.
It has been confirmed that the first model to benefit from the new engine range will indeed be the A8 which is all set for a grand launch from the start of 2015. As for other vehicles from the Audi range receiving these features, they will begin to start to roll out from 2015.
