Diesel in the United Kingdom is the 4th most expensive Worldwide, this is according to a new study that recently came to light, with the average price of
diesel in the United Kingdom at £1.41 currently, which is only 9p cheaper than Norway, which is the most expensive country in the World. Many
motorists in the United Kingdom will also be frustrated to learn that 86p of every litre of diesel, which is over 50%, is taken up by taxes and fuel duty.
Though, in spite of these figures, Brits should also apparently be counting themselves lucky, according to the study, in comparison to the average monthly income in Britain after, the average monthly spend in Britain on diesel actually revealed that only 7.9% of that monly goes on the fuel. This doesn't look very good when looking at the figures next to Norway, where the high monthly incomes mean that even diesel at £1.50 per litre only accounts for 5.2% of the country's monthly spend, which is the lowest out of the entire top ten.
Though in Turkey, which has the third highest diesel prices Worldwide, at £1.44 per litre, though low average wages, a huge 25.8% of the monthly income after tax goes on fuel. So with regards to the United Kingdom, it could be a lot worse.
