November of this year marks an exciting time for the German manufacturer Volkswagen as they will officially launch their brand new Touareg 3.0 TDI model onto our streets. The very first version of this car was produced in 2002 and now twelve years later we are currently in the third life cycle of the car. The latest version of the car was produced in 2010 as a five seater SUV and we see much of the same from this variant of the car. Some of the changes made to this version of the car include the engine being the big change and also some new changes have also been made to both the interior and exterior of the car too.

So firstly the big change made to the car is of course the engine which consists of a 3.0 litre,V6 diesel unit. A total of 258bhp is produced which levels out at 13bhp more than the previous addition to the range. An eight speed automatic transmission system also runs along side which helps the vehicle to reach an overall top speed limitation of 140 miles per hour. With that coming into play we see the car take the leap from 0 to 62 miles per hour in an all round steady speed of 7.3 seconds. Now in terms of some of the new features thrown in to the exterior alterations of the car, we see the Touareg 3.0 TDI includes a re designed set of bumpers,front fog lights,a brand new front grille and a brand new set of xenon headlights also come as part of the package. An automatic post collision brake system also comes with this version of the car as seen on other recently released vehicles from the Volkswagen brand.
The Touareg joins a rapidly increasing SUV sector in the car industry right now and could prove to have a fight on its hands when it comes to going head to head with other vehicle line ups such as the X5 from BMW and the Q7 from Audi amongst many others. This variant of the Touareg will officially go on sale from November here in the UK and across other parts of the world too. As far as a price tag is concerned to come along with the car, expect to make the purchase for a price of £44,500.
