The Mercedes Benz news report 17-02-2015

Mercedes Benz will launch their brand new E Class for the 2015 year this year. News has now started to come out which reveals some of the new features that are set to come along with this brand new addition and one of the big upgrades that will find its place in the new vehicle is the additions of some new multimedia services and connectivity. The German brand have said that their new model will come fitted with their new COMMAND online multimedia system which allows the driver to have internet access when the car is still. The sat nav system to be included with the vehicle is also another addition and now uses the new Garmin MAP PILOT technology which allows the driver to download a three dimensional sat nav route similar to the way in which Google maps works. All of which is downloaded straight to an SD card. Traffic information can also be given out by the car. Expect to see the returns of other technology systems too such as Bluetooth.

Mercedes to debut a new plug in hybrid

There has been some speculation that Mercedes could be in process of producing a new plug in hybrid SUV model. This news has now pretty much all been confirmed with the recent sighting of what appears to be the new GLC plug in hybrid undergoing testing in a prototype format. This is no word as of yet to when the car will go on sale or for how much the price tag to come along with it will be. There is however a strong chance that the new model may go on display for the very first time later on this year. Regarding some of the technical information to come along with the new GLC, we can expect to see the addition of a fitted two litre petrol engine which will also come completely turbocharged. It will also be paired with an electric motor which delivers 80 bhp. Given the advancements in hybrid technology over the past number of years,Mercedes have said that running on just electric power alone, we can see the GLC travelling for around nineteen miles before the engine comes into play. For the time being, nay technology features or other specifics are being kept very much under lock and key but we can expect to hear more towards the end of the year.

Brand new updates for the Mercedes SL

Mercedes have announced that they are set to bring a range of brand new updates to their current SL model and it will receive its first public debut next month from the Geneva Motor Show. For what has been announced so far, we know that there are no changes made to the engine setup or power deliverance but the vast majority of updates made to the SL will consist of extra technical specs and added components for the exterior design of the car. For example we see two different wheel sizes demonstrated by a set of nineteen inch wheels at the front whereas the back end are equipped with twenties. An all new spoiler and Black and Red detailing is also inserted around the outside of the car. The same inserts are included for the interior too but you can also expect to find new seat designs and a bespoke steering wheel too. Active body control and Adaptive dampers are the main updated technical specifications. Geneva will play host to the official reveal of the brand new car which is where we also expect to hear a price tag confirmed for the market here in the United Kingdom.
