The brand new version of the Range Rover Evoque has been seen testing on the road for the very first time and snaps have revealed the car in all of its glory wearing minimal disguise. This brand new Evoque will find its way into showrooms later on this year and will receive some new changes that could help it stand out as one of the biggest additions that the Evoque range has ever seen. It has been confirmed that a two litre, turbocharged diesel engine will find its place inside of the vehicle and will be up for grabs producing two different power outputs. You can begin with the entry level 161bhp or you can opt for the higher powered 178. The new ingenium petrol engine range can also be expected to be offered with the car also but maybe not until after its launch. The air intake and grille have been made larger for the new Evoque but disguising covered this from the images posted. The front bumper does however receive some new shaping.
The new Evoque is also to adopt new technology created by Jaguar which allows the driver to link up their smartphone with the car via the use of an eight inch touchscreen. This then links the car to the drivers phone and allows them to adjust features such as the temperature inside of the car even when they are outside of it. This could very well be one of the most advanced Evoque models to ever go on sale and we believe it could arrive in showrooms at some point towards the end of the year or the beginning of 2016.
Jaguar have been hard at work once again in their fight to advance technology and safety for their drivers in a range of countries. This brand new piece of technology has been designed in order to prevent any accidents involving their cars and motorcycle riders and cyclists. The new feature has been given the name of 'Bike Sense' and will alert the driver by using sights and sounds such as Red danger lighting when they are in close distance of a cyclist or motorcyclist. The tech will also produce sounds such as bike bells displaying if a cyclist or a motorbike rider is close by. It's not just when the car is on the move that this technology will work though. JLR have also said that if the car is parked up and either a bicycle or motorbike rider is travelling past, the door handles will vibrate making the driver and passengers aware of it. This could be one of the biggest and best steps yet to ensure the safety between both car and motorcycle/bicycle riders and could prove to be a key part of all Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles in the future.
We all know that this year Ford are going to make history by offering the all new Mustang model in the UK for the very first time. It is one of the most recognised and popular muscle cars driven in the United States and the brand are set to try their luck with the UK. Lately you may have heard the news about the higher spec Shelby version of the car boasting 618 brake horse power. We certainly have and were a little jealous that America were receiving it and not us. But hold the phone, Ford have today announced that the UK will get the Shelby. The big feature of any muscle car is its power which is why its not surprising to see that is where Ford are focusing their attention with the Shelby. A supercharged engine packing 618bhp and a handling update are the main highlights of the higher spec vehicle.
Ford have confirmed that customers who have already pre ordered the standard Mustang can choose to upgrade to a Shelby model if they wish for an extra added price of £26,500 which will see the new add ons fitted.
