A Coupe version of the Hyundai i20 has been confirmed

Korean manufacturer Hyundai have confirmed that a brand new three door Coupe version of the i20 will officially go on sale from next year. The i20 has proven to be a top seller for the Hyundai brand since production of the car was first produced in 2008. Both three and five door versions of the car have been offered over the years and this all new Coupe version of the i20 will come in a three door format. One of the latest versions of the i20 to go on sale was the i20 supermini vehicle and is a five door. Hyundai with this brand new Coupe version of the car though are going for a much more sporty look and design structure for the car and an image of what the car is set to look like has been revealed showing of some brand new features that are expected to come along with the i20 Coupe. At this moment in time not a lot of information regarding the specs to come along with the car have been confirmed by Hyundai directly however, we do know of some expected features that may come along with the car when it is launched in the future.

The expected features to come along with the Hyundai I20 Coupe

So if we take a look into what will come along with the i20 Coupe when it is to see a grand launch, it is expected that the current engine line up will come along with the three door Coupe version. This means that the engine line up could very well consist of a 1.4 litre, turbo engine which currently develops 99 units of brake horse power. New changes to come along with the car will be a readjusted suspension system which will be much more firmer than previous additions to the line up and some new colour schemes are also expected to come along with the cabin of the i20 Coupe. A newly fitted roof spoiler can also be seen from the images of the car that has been released.

The i20 since the vehicle was first launched has brought some heated competition against the likes of the Fiesta Zetec model from American manufacturer Ford and the Skoda Fabia which will see a brand new model launched next month. In the future when we see the i20 Coupe arrive on our streets we think that it will very well prove to be ideal when it comes to going up against these cars again and it could very well open up the doors to even more rivalry from other top selling supermini manufacturers around the world today.

When will the Hyundai i20 Coupe be officially revealed ?

Next month from the Paris motor show will officially mark the first public reveal for the new Hyundai i20 Coupe with the car expected to go on sale from early on next year shortly after the arrival of the five door version in January of 2015.
