In some incoming news today to break out of the German car brand Volkswagen, we are pleased to report on some of the latest news regarding the companies Golf model. For many years the Golf has been the main stand out car for the Volkswagen brand and it has gone on to be one of the biggest sellers for the company along side the Polo. There have been many variations of the car go on sale world wide over the years but it has been confirmed by the mass manufacturer that the mid range Golf model which was the SE has now been officially replaced by the Match variant. The main changes to the model will consist of features and engine ranges. So what is new about this mid range model that can help it maintain a strong rival for other companies such as Ford ?.
The new features of the mid range Golf
So as we stated the engine line ups is a key change for this particular model and we see these come in three different forms. The first addition to the range comes your way in the manner of a turbo charged 1.4 litre,petrol engine which produces a total of 120 brake horse power. The other two options to go on sale with this car include,a turbo diesel,1.6 Tdi engine and a 2.0 TDI. Power between 104 and 148bhp are produced respectively. These two diesel engines are not made available until September however, they can be ordered right now.
Some brand new features equipment wise to come with this car will also include front and rear parking sensors, auto folding mirrors and puddle lights. Front fog lights also come as a part of the package and Xenon lights can also be chosen but will come at an extra cost. So cant these brand new features help the mid range Golf keep up with the likes of Audi with the A3 model ?.
