Vauxhall Astra 2015
A number of images have been leaked online that seem to show the latest version of the Vauxhall Astra. The new Vauxhall Astra is due to be developed and in production by the end of the year and will be on sale in 2015.
The new Astra model will be built at the Ellesmere Port plant in the North West of England and will be part of the ascendants on the Ford brand. The Ford manufacturer has been the best selling brand in the UK for a number of years and has kept the Vauxhall brand off the top spot in a number of different markets.
The rivalry between the two is ongoing throughout Europe, but the UK car market is the most competitive market between the two. The Ford Fiesta and the Focus model has managed to keep the Astra and the Corsa models off the top spot for over 12 consecutive months.
However, Vauxhall have issued a plan to overtake the US rivals by 2016 which is coincidentally the year after the release of the Vauxhall Astra model. The new Astra model has undergone a number of both internal and external changes. The photographed model appears to have grown in size and has a more structural style to the look. The bonnet of the model is more carved and edgy similar to that of the latest range of BMW models.
As well as the design changes, the firm have made a number of mechanical alterations. It is expected that Vauxhall release the Astra with the newly developed 1.0 litre three cylinder turbo engine. This newly developed engine is of course a tactical development to rival the success of the equivalent engine over at Ford.
A number of manufacturers have highlighted the success of the engine option over at Ford and insist that the engine itself is a major contributor to the level of success that the firm has had of late.
