UK is the Top Market for Ferrari within Europe
The Italian manufacturer Ferrari has recently announced that the UK is now the largest market European market, after the sale of 415 cars in the first half of 2013. That is a massive 6% increase on 2012. The UK Car Market has gone from strength to strength in the past number of years and remains to be the only market to increase sales within the last 18 months.
The German market is currently the top selling car market in Europe and whilst in decline, still remains the second best selling market for Ferrari. The German market maintains its lead at the top of the European Car Market whilst experiencing difficulties in the way of a decrease in sales based on last year. Models such as Mercedes and BMW who have a significant market share within Germany have seen sales somewhat slow compared to last time out.
The Italian car market has continued to fall through the sales rankings and now the Ferrari brand only has 3% of the firms total sales in the home country of Italy. However, growth has continued throughout the Middle East as sales figures looked to have doubled in the last number of months.
Whilst an increase in the sales of Ferrari may look good, Ferrari insisted that they would have liked to reduce sales figures and increase profit in order to maintain a certain level of exclusivity. The profit seems to be going in the right direction and sales have continued to increase accordingly.
In the first half of 2013 Ferrari have sold a massive 3,767 models and the tactics seemed to have paid off as the firm record their best ever profitable figure at £1.061 million. Ferrari insist that the decision to remain exclusive seems to have paid off already, the firm believe that profitability will continue to increase over the next number of months and will hopefully result in the Italian firms most profitable year of sales.
