Today we take a look into the Japanese motorbike firm known as Yamaha and one of their motorbikes which is on offer to the public right now and it makes it's way to you in the shape and form of the XJ6 Diversion model. The Yamaha company are famous for models such as the likes of the R6 and the R1 which have both proven to be some perfect sports bikes on offer to the public right now. This XJ6 Diversion model however is an addition to the Yamaha touring line up but our only problem with the bike itself is that looking at the machine it looks quite bland and does not benefit from a lot of detail. The power and performance of this bike is definitely the bigger picture here. So how well does this bike actually perform and what helps it do it ?.
So what has made it into this motorbike when it came down to the production time of the machine and why should you choose this particular bike over some tough competition from the likes of Honda,Kawasaki and Suzuki ?. Well firstly we see the addition of a 600cc liquid cooled engine that also comes with an electronic fuel injection system too. A TCI ignition system and an electric starter also add to the positives of this bike. The XJ6 Diversion comes along with a 17 litre fuel tank capacity and a 3.4 litre, oil tank too. As standard we see the six speed transmission return with this bike.
In regards to that look and design aspect of the machine,as we stated earlier, to us it looks quite unattractive as the furring of the bike is left without any detail. There are two different paint schemes available to choose from though and we see these come in the shape of Race Blu and competition White.
Before we jump into the price tag that comes along with this Yamaha model, we are pleased to inform you of the good news that the XJ6 Diversion can be purchased from your nearest Yamaha showroom and dealer right now and you can expect to ride away on one of the bikes for a total cost of £6,499.
