The new face lifted Renault Megane
Renault have released a number of images online of the new Megane model ahead of the official revealing at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Megane will come in the form of the standard hatchback as well as the coupe and estate versions of the model.
There were rumours circling within the industry over whether or not the Renault model would be face lifted or just cease to be produced. Certain Renault models have struggled to capture the imagination of today's motorists and have left the French manufacturer with something to think about.
The Renault Megane model has struggled to meet sales targets and has seen other internal models such as the Dacia brand overtake the model in markets such as Germany.
Manufacturers such as Renault and Fiat etc who largely depend on home grown sales have seen a massive decrease in sales due to the current economic climate within the European economy. However, Renault remained in profitable waters with what is thought to be the Dacia brand.
The Dacia brand is arguably the motor trades version of the 'smart price' car and a complex which has taken off in markets across Europe. The budget brand Dacia has been one of the most successful additions to the market in recent years.
The Dacia model currently outsells the parent brand Renault in markets such as Germany and has seen a steady increase in sales across the rest of Europe. Other major manufacturers such as Fiat and Nissan have both paid attention to the Dacia brand and the success the brand has had.
Fiat have struggled with sales of late and have looked at a budget brand as a way of increasing the number of options for motorists turning up at a Fiat dealership. Fiat currently have one of the largest dealership networks in the world and would like to expand on their range of models to once again return back to the top of the worlds leading car manufacturers.
On the other hand, the French manufacturer Renault will be looking to upgrade models such as the Megane and set to release the model back into the market after the Frankfurt Motor Show.
