British manufacturer MG have officially launched a brand new diesel vehicle onto our roads and it is known as the MG6 GT diesel. The vehicle is available to purchase right now across MG dealers all around Britain and could be one of the most fuel efficient vehicles on the road at this moment in time. When the vehicle was first produced C02 emissions and fuel economy were just two of the main focal points in mind and we believe that given the specifications that have gone into the MG6 GT, this could very well be the case. Although the MG6 is not the most popular vehicle addition in the brands line up, the company are hoping that this new diesel variant could be the turning point for the car and could bring in much more success than ever before. The first version of the MG6 was first put on sale here in the UK in 2011 but only 360 units of the car were sold in that year. The brand have worked hard on this brand new variation of the car with hopes of becoming one of the big time brands in the United Kingdom.
There are a total of two engines made available for the MG6 GT diesel and we see these come in the form of a 2.0 litre TDI which sees a power development of 150 brake horse power. Your alternative option however is the addition of the 2.0 litre, TDCI delivering 163 bhp. There are also some other great features that come along with the car that help it stand out especially as far as equipment and technology is concerned. We see that during the production time of the car, MG have included the standard fittings of automatic headlights, a rear view camera, heated leather seating, front parking sensors, cruise control and a built in sat nav system. The entry level version of this car which is the TDI engine unit sees that car reach overall top speeds of 120 miles per hour and it will be helped to reach this destination by the 8.9 seconds in which it takes the car to achieve a speed of 62 miles per hour from a standing start. A set of both 17 and 18 inch alloy wheels are also included as a part of the package.
Potentially we see that this version of the MG6 could very well prove to be an ideal contender for the high ranks in the car industry especially when it comes to going head to head with other vehicles such as the big selling Octavia from Skoda and the Ford Focus.
Hopes are indeed high for the new MG6 which is available to purchase right now from your nearest MG dealership. As far as a price tag is confirmed to come along with the diesel variant, you cane expect to pay a total purchase price of £16,995 for the entry level version of the car whereas if you decide to opt for the TDCI model you can expect to pay out a total of £20,195.
