Prices announced for the R1,the Brough Superior and changes to Dartford Crossing

Some big changes have been brought into play from yesterday to the toll station that resided at the Dartford Crossing on the M25. Notice how we said resided and not resides?. Well that is because the way that the toll station is now working is completely different to what it may have been the last time you were there. The toll stations at the crossing itself have been removed as of November 30th so now you may be wondering whether you cross through for free?. Unfortunately this is not the case. Its the way in which you pay for the tolls which has now changed. It has now been stated that rather than paying at a tolling station, people set to cross will now have to pay their way through via the internet, over the telephone or via a shop that operates as a payzone outlet. The toll station takes you across the River Thames through to Kent,Essex and Thurrock and the new changes have been brought into play in order to help reduce traffic congestion on both side of the M25. It has also been announced that the price to cross through the toll station has also been increased to £2.50 for a car however motorcycles can still pass through for free. It has also been announced that payment for crossing the toll must be made by midnight on the same day if not then the owner of the vehicle will be fined £70.00 but paying £35.00 if paid within the first two weeks.

The Brough Superior is the most expensive motorcycle in the world

Brough motorbikes were designed from 1919 up until 1940 by a gentleman named George Brough. He designed motor cars, side cars and motorcycles throughout this time of which were all made in Nottingham. At one time, these motorbikes were often referred to as the Rolls Royce of motorcycle and this has certainly gone to show as of over the course of the weekend, the Brough Superior motorcycle has officially taken the award of the worlds most expensive motorbike. The bike was put on sale at a public auction this past weekend and sold for a huge £315,100. This is truly incredible as the record holder before it was another Brough Superior model which came in the form of the SS80 and was sold in auction in 2012 for £291,200.
