Why are sales better than expected?
There may be a few factors for this, but time after time we here from dealers and customers that the manufacturer discounts and incentives are just too good to turn down. Direct discount, interest free finance and free service plans are all common offers made by manufacturers.Also the more forward thinking of the manufacturers have improves and expanded their new car product range during testing economic times. This is surely now bearing fruits for the car dealers.
Will the trend continue?
Well who knows, but if new cars sales are good in the months of June and July then motor dealers will hope the trend continues into the traditionally busier months of September and October.2012 has seen confidence amongst dealers increase, and this can only benefit car buyers. As dealers bonuses are linked to volumes of sales then there is a good chance you can drive a hard bargain and gain a good deal. A car dealer is more likely to give you more of his 'front end' discount if they can bank on a nice manufacturer bonus for hitting the dealership sales target.
That has to be good news all round!
