Mercedes reveal the future of their SUV range with the G Code concept model

Earlier on this week, the German manufacturer Mercedes revealed a brand new concept vehicle which is being named the G-Code. It has been said that this vehicle represents the future technological advancement side of things for the popular firm and some design features which are set to be used in some of the brands future SUV releases onto the road. The firm have launched a range of new teaser images of the vehicle with certainty of the car making it to production in the future unknown at this moment in time. If the vehicle is to see a grand launch on our roads though it is expected that the vehicle would not arrive until at least the year 2017 at the earliest. There are a vast range of features used within the vehicle that have never been seen before from various manufacturers including the companies top rivals on the market BMW and the Audi brand. The features and styling designs that have been used on the G-Code concept are certainly a step into the future and we have all of the latest information on the vehicle for you.

How do Mercedes plan to step into the future?

So with time moving on so fast and new innovations in vehicle technology being introduced on a monthly basis, Mercedes have revealed information regarding how they plan to take that leap into the future especially when it comes to their SUV models which will join a growing market dominated by the likes of the Juke and Qashqai from the Nissan brand and the Toyota RAV4. There are many features announced for this concept model but one of the big eye catching features to come along with the car rests at the front end of the vehicle with its grille. The thing is though it is not actually a grille that is located at the front end of the car, it is a feature that has been never used on a vehicle in the past. The item that has been fitted is a digital lighting system which changes colour varying on the motion of the car and which driving mode is selected. When the car remains stationary a Blue light has been confirmed to show. When the car is moving, Blue stars are shown. There is also a Hybrid driving mode that can be selected by the driver which shows moving Red stars across the front end of the car.

That is not the only special feature to come along with the vehicle though as we also see some new technology incorporated inside of the vehicle which consists of the ignition system. Traditionally in vehicles a key is needed to power up the car or a stop start button is brought into play. This could all change if the G-Code is to be put into production though as this vehicle brings into play a docking station in which you plug your smart phone into to power up the vehicle. There are also two rear view cameras confirmed for the concept machine and they are displayed at either end of the windscreen. It is believed that the car could be an ideal competitor on the market if it is to be released as it would bring the fight to the likes of the BMW X6 amongst other vehicles.

A bright future for the Mercedes G-Code?

So with these brand new steps in technological advancement being taken into consideration, there is a chance that if this vehicle is brought into production and put on sale, it would not go on sale until 2017 at the earliest if it does at all. It has been confirmed that some of these features are to be placed into the brands future SUV models though so do other companies have a big threat coming their way from Mercedes?.  A Blue Mercedes G Code at Gap insurance 123
