McLaren reveal the new 675LT

McLaren have revealed their brand new 675LT model to the world from the Geneva Motor Show and have given us some new information regarding the specifications of the new vehicle that is safe to say we found quite exciting. The new vehicle will be an addition to the companies Super Series models and is confirmed to be the the strongest vehicle in the range and also the lightest. Power and speed abilities are what sets the new 675LT above the rest. If the thought of purchasing this car is on your mind then you will have to be quick as the news has been confirmed that only five hundred units of this vehicle will be produced and sold. It was also confirmed that the first set of deliveries on the new model will commence from this coming July.

What information was revealed for the 675LT?

With power looking to be one of the key selling points for the 675LT, it comes as no surprise to use that McLaren have included the fitting of a V8 sized, twin turbocharged 3.8 litre engine. A total of 666 brake horse power is the final result from this new engine. The car has been made wider compared to the 650S and runs on wider tracks. Thanks to updates to the suspension system which included new spring fittings and new body creasing, the 675LT is able to create more down force than the 650S. The new engine is also paired to a new SSG double clutch transmission system carrying seven speeds. Thrown in is a new stability control system which makes braking and acceleration even more responsive.

Now looking at how beautiful this car looks, the 675LT was revealed in a Grey paint scheme carrying Black inserts in the air intakes and side skirting. Two colours were shown for the car one in Grey and the other in a dark Green design pattern. The interior also caught our attention though as Bucket racing seats are included in a Black suede finish with Orange Leather surrounding and the 675LT logos stitched into the headrests. The full length of the dashboard and the steering wheel are also completed in the same suede design. Aluminium pedals and carbon inserts finish the interior cabin off very nicely. To show the limited availability of the car, a badge can also be found by the right side passengers door just next to the steering wheel which carries the 675LT logo displaying its 500 car limited availability and were the supercar was made in Surrey.

How much is the 675LT set to cost?

McLaren have declared that buyers can be the proud owner of a new 675LT McLaren for a purchase price of £259,500 but you can spend an extra £5,090 which will see you receive the sports package adding on some items such as a fire extinguisher and a new harness for the vehicle. Orders on the limited edition vehicle are open right now so get your orders in quick as there are only 500 of these models available.
