Kia to deliver the perfect Christmas present this year?

Korean car manufacturer Kia are all set to launch their brand new addition to the all electric market this upcoming December and it will make its way to our roads in the shape and form of the brand new Soul EV. This car has been confirmed to run from all electric and has been stated to have some impressive features. The Soul is one of Kia's biggest selling city cars on the market and has been since the vehicle was first put on sale back in 2009. The first Soul model was developed in the companies plant in California and was fist revealed to the general public from the 2008 Paris motor show. We are now five years gone from the vehicles arrival and with the electric market steadily rising on a world wide scale. This brand new Soul EV could be set to take the world by storm by incorporating some statistics and abilities that could help it to take on other top selling EV models on sale now including the popular leaf model from Nissan and the Renault Zoe.

How well does the Kia Soul EV operate performance wise?

So now if we cast our attention to the overall power and performance side of things for this all electric vehicle, we see that the car comes fully fitted with an electric motor located at the front end of the vehicle which when combined with the single speed transmission system sees a power deliverance of 109bhp. The sprint from 0 to 62 miles per hour in the vehicle has been confirmed to be reached in twelve seconds flat which then progresses on to reach a total top speed limitation of 90 miles per hour. Perhaps the most impressive telling figure of them all though is that the car from a full charge has an overall range of 124 miles before needing a recharge. The vehicle also runs on a front wheel drive platform.

There are some new changes that can be found in the bodywork of the car too compared to that of a standard Soul model. A brand new front grille, sixteen inch wheels and a brand new two tone paint scheme has also been included. Technology wise the car is well advanced also. A brand new LED cluster has been added to the interior of the car which displays a navigation system,a map to you nearest charging station and information on how much energy the vehicle is using. With the power and overall features of the car coming into play, it has been confirmed that this is one of the best mileages you will get from an EV from a single charge. The 124 miles range is only beaten by one EV on the market and that is the ever popular model S from Tesla. For a full charge on the car it has been confirmed that a time of between ten and twelve hours is needed from a standard plug socket.

How much will the Kia Soul EV sell for this Christmas?

The vehicle will go on sale from this upcoming December and you can expect to make the purchase on this brand new Soul model for a purchase cost of £25,000 which is after the standard government grant for EV models.
