Mercedes letting go of the 5.5 litre V8 engine

We know that Mercedes vehicles can shift and the majority boast not just luxury and gadgets but power aswell. Across many Mercedes Benz vehicles, you can find the addition of a 5.5 litre V8 engine which will also feature in the forthcoming GLE model. The brand have announced though that from the end of next year, they are all set to gradually get rid of the engine unit in favour for a twin turbocharged four litre V8 unit. Overall fuel economy and C02 emissions are what Mercedes have in mind when it comes to introducing the new four litre setup. This same V8 can be found in the current AMG GT model on the road and it will also be equipped to the new C63.
