Honda's WTCC Civic to set the standard

The manufacturer have won the touring car championship for three years straight now, thanks to their marvelous civic's driven by extremely talented racer's. Now the company are hoping to have even more of a challenge on their hands to keep up their momentum with the inclusion of these brand new models from the company.

Whats the difference between this Civic and the previous ?

It is hoped that this new five door hatchback civic from the Japanese company  will have what it takes to keep the ball rolling, and prove that the team are the most experienced and talent of all participating camps in the world touring car championship. The latest news coming from the masterminds behind the idea is that new the Civic racer will come with : Extensions to the wheel arches compared to that of other models, a hugely increased engine, making it more of a an agile and muscle style vehicle,  and a slightly bigger rear spoiler, all designed to help with dynamics and agility when hitting those tight corners and turns when it gets released out onto the track. Even though it was reported at first that just two models will be making their way to the starting line next season, it has been reported online that a higher number of these machines will be debuting as well. No word as of yet however on how many exactly, but we think it is safe to say that the company will find plenty of competition from the likes of Citroen, Ford and similar teams in the championship.

Will there be a road legal version of the Civic WTCC launched ?

Unfortunately the answer to that question is no. The latest designed model is only available for use on race tracks globally and is not in any shape or form legal to be used on our roads. The best for us all as consumers is to just watch these vehicles race their way around the track and hopefully cement their legacy in rally history. You can expect to see the new Civic model testing the tracks in next season's World touring car championship.
