Ford Focus Mk 4

Ford Focus Mk 4

The next generation Ford Focus will be hoping to replicate success achieved by the current Focus model, which makes the design and production of the model even more precious.

It has been revealed that the next generation Focus model is likely to keep its shape, however, it is difficult to know exactly what route the US based brand will go down with the firms best selling model worldwide.

The model is not due to be launched until 2017 with the face lifted model set to be released later on this year. Ford will have take into consideration the success of the face lifted model which has taken on even more of the Fiesta look. The Ford KA model has also been a massive success for the Ford firm which has also taken on the look of the Fiesta.

The Ford Focus' main rival is the Vauxhall Astra model which is set to be updated and released next year. Vauxhall have somewhat declared war with the Ford rivals due to the rival developing a replicate 1.0 litre engine and closely naming it the ECO TEC.

Vauxhall recently revealed the Adam Rocks model at the Geneva Motor Show of which had the 1.0 litre Eco Tec engine under the bonnet. The Adam model is set to be the vision of Vauxhall models for years to come.

The 1.0 Eco Sport engine at Ford has been one of the biggest contributors to the success of the brand and of the models. The Fiesta has been the best selling model in the UK for over 12 months now keeping the Vauxhall Corsa and Astra off the top spot.

Vauxhall have also recently declared a plan to overtake the Ford brand, in terms of market share, by 2016. It is expected that the Vauxhall brand will achieve more sales than the Ford due to the development of the Astra and the Corsa models.
