In some of the latest breaking news today coming directly out of the German car company known as BMW, we are excited to report on the latest news regarding a launch for the brand's all new, X5 plug in Hybrid model that is estimated to arrive on our streets here in the UK and across other parts of the world at some point throughout, the duration of this year.
A lot of brands are quickly getting themselves involved with the SUV world of machinery in this day and age and have proven to be great in the industry but, BMW have certainly had a lot of success with their latest original, X5 model that was previously released by the company here in the United Kingdom and is already proving to be one of the finest pieces of technology from the companies long and, historic existence. What better way to keep the X5 model at the top of the food chain than by taking that leap into the future of the car industry too with a plug in Hybrid version of the model that could very well out sell the basic model.
So with that being said, what is it that makes this addition to BMW'S SUV line up stand out above all of the rest including some similar models from rival brands such as the likes of, Mercedes,Audi and ?. Well firstly we see the welcome addition's of, a 2.0 litre, four cylinder engine that also comes complete with an electric motor along side. The vehicle is reported to carry somewhere around the 300 bhp area with the dash from a standstill to 62 miles per hour taking a reported seven seconds. Therefore with these perfect attributes combined, we believe that this addition to the range will hit top speeds of, 155 miles per hour. The vehicle is introduced as a four wheel drive car and it comes fully packed with an, eight speed, automatic transmission system too.
The vehicle at this moment in time is still a prototype model and has been seen undergoing testing with camouflage stripes on to protect it's identity. The images that have posted online show the vehicle in a basic color of Black however, we do suspect that other color's shall be made available at the time of the X5's official launch.
Although an exact launch date is still yet to be confirmed from the Germ
an mass manufacturer, we do know that this vehicle is expected to be available for purchase here in the UK later on this year towards the end of 2014. In regards to how much you can expect the X5 Hybrid to set you back, an exact price tag is still yet to be revealed although, it has been suspected that you can expect to pay around an estimated £55,000 for your brand new, BMW X5, plug in Hybrid.
