The Connect Service from
Audi will show users the nearest petrol stations, along with their prices. The latest Audi A3 and A3 sportback models will be the first to get the in car display of local petrol stations, as well as the prices they offer.
Audi connect comes as part of a more enhanced Mobilr Phone preperation, with the Audi connect option. The
new technology however cannot be fitted to existing Audi models, it can only be added to new ones.
The
Audi technology will apparently eventually be put to the majority of Audi models this year, including the Audi A4, with the R8 and TT models being fitted with it at a later time. The connect system works by checking a database online and then lists the cheapest petrol stations in real time, at either the driver's current destination, or one they choose. It even takes into account the type of fuel that is needed for the car, whether it be diesel or petrol. The driver is then able to prioritise the list by either price or distance and then select the final choice as their new destination.
Buyers are able to get the fuel feature as part of the enhanced option of the Audi Connect, which also has to be combined with the Satellite Navigation Plus, which is hard disk based. Both come as part of Audi's Technology Pack High with Audi Connect, which will set a buyer back £1,795.
