Aston Martin Reveal Centenary Plans!
Aston Martin celebrate their centenary birthday in the new year, as they look to celebrate the event on the official birthday of the company which is January 15th . They plan to celebrate the occasion by lining up the oldest model of Aston Martin in the A3 and the newest in the centenary version of the Vanquish.
Aston Martin has arranged for Sir John Standing to play the Aston co-founder Lionel Martin in the visual re-enactment of experiences in making the first Aston Martin. The luxury British sports car maker has also announced that there will be a centenary week planned for later in the year believed to be arrange for mid July. During this week there will be a 1,000 guest birthday ball for the company who aim to celebrate in style.
The Aston Martin boss has revealed he wants to not only line up the 100 most iconic models but create a gathering of over 1000 Aston’s in what would be the largest gathering in the companies history.
Other events will include driving tours and an open house at the headquarters of Aston Martin in Gaydon. There is also talks of a special James Bond themed tour of England and Wales, taking in the most iconic and well known Bond locations. I'm sure the producers of James Bond will also pay a special tribute to the brand by creating their own Aston mini film perhaps?
Aston Martin has had a lot to celebrate recently, with first the investment in the company from Investindustrial to allow it to continue to developing and producing new models for the next 5 years. Aston has also been rumoured to have signed an agreement with the Mercedes performance arm, AMG, to produce a new engine amongst other vital components for the future models.
