Aequitas Automotive has never been a company that has stood still. Entering the Gap Insurance marketplace later than many of our rivals, our company set out a strategy to offer the best product line up in the UK, at the best premium prices. The award of six 5 Star Ratings in 2013 is testament to what we feel we have accomplished during that time, the figure of six being more than any other UK company in the field.
Do we feel smug and satisfied? Not a bit of it!
Aequitas Automotive is constantly striving to improve and innovate in our marketplace. Our Gap Insurance products have been independently rated amongst the very best in the UK. This will not stop us from looking to improve both our current products, but to extend our portfolio also.
To this end we are pleased to confirm that the current twin Gap Insurance brands of Easy Gap and GapInsurance123, will be complemented by the introduction of a third brand in the next few months. We will keep the name of our new brand under wraps for now, but in 2012 we managed to secure an instantly recognisable name in the market for our new brand.
The new brand will also incorporate new products too, with tyre insurance, smart and dent insurance, motor excess insurance, alloy insurance and much much more. We will also look to extend these products into our established brands later in the year.
The new move will enable our customers to access a full range of products, and not just Gap Insurance, and is the first step along the way to launching bespoke websites for new products in their own right.
So why does Aequitas Automotive want a third website selling a Gap Insurance, when all the other providers seem only to stick to one?
Well of course it would be much easier to stick to one 'brand, and dedicate all your marketing to promote it to the full. However, we take a different view in that we would like to act as a true 'broker' for our customers. As such we can offer a choice of four different Gap Insurance underwriters as we stand today, giving us a choice of product features and premium price. It also keeps us totally independent from the underwriters, which enables us to negotiate and improve our terms according to the marketplace.
Aequitas Automotive does not have, and will not commit to, exclusive supply agreements with insurance providers. Indeed we like to see our providers also supplying other names in the market. Our view is that this demonstrates a commitment from the underwriter to the product, giving our customers more confidence in what they are looking to buy. Of course if one of our underwriters had a change of heart, or wanted to impose punitive terms to our customers, we are able to change our providers quickly if necessary.
Our whole approach is to provide our customers with the best choice and the best premiums in the UK. Even if this does create three times the work for our marketing people!
