Caterham cars celebrates 40 years of it's evergreen seven sports car with a brand new limited edition styling pack. Starting from today (9th May), the first 40 orders for the new Seven car will have the 40 years of Caterham styling pack, that costs no extra whatsoever.
The pack, includes a chassis painted grey, which actually replicates the original Lotus Seven colour, also red 40YOU paint, bonnet stripes and 15 inch alloy wheels that are embossed with the company logo. On the interior, the car has tailored leather seats, a unique number plaque on the grey leather dashboard and a specially embossed key.
The company have said that this pack had been designed to try and evoke early Sevens nostalgia. The Seven car has been built by
Caterham since 1973, when Graham Nearn who was the original owner, acquired rights to the model. The firm are proud that the Seven remains true to Chapman's philosophy of adding lightness.
The current
Caterham range in the United Kingdom starts with the Roadsport 125, which is £19,995 and rises to the top specification Superlight R500, which has a starting price of £42,495. Though the Superlight R500 is not available with the 40 years of Caterham alloys or dashboard.
