According to figures and statistics, the VTX 1800 model from Japanese brand Honda has received a five star rating from it's owners. The VTX 1800 is not your traditional Honda sports model as it makes it's way to you in the form of a touring motorbike. Honda have been known around the world since the company was officially introduced back in 1948 and have been considered as one of the leaders around the world when it comes to the motorbike market. We have seen them produce many great models for which they are famous for to this day. A majority of big sellers for the Honda company consist of sports bikes but this VTX model that was originally launched back in 2001 is one the brands five star tourer models that has certainly made an impact over the course of it's existence.
So what new features come along with this particular model that help owners out when it comes to rating this bike highly ?. Well if we have a look into the engine that powers this bike, we see that Honda have included the use of a 1795cc engine that produces a total all round power output of 95 brake horse power. We see that the top speed limit from the engine sets the bike up at 134 miles per hour. This may not sound a lot for a motorbike but for a touring model in our opinion that is quite impressive. The engine comes in the form of a V twin and also benefits from Honda's own linked braking system.
Ground clearance can be a bit of a problem though like with many tourers this particular model is quite low to the ground but don't let this put you off as conventional forks help the bike maintain a softer suspension system which you will certainly feel the benefit of.
A few nice pieces of equipment make for good selling points also as we see the VTX 1800 come fully fitted with a dual seat,an 18 litre fuel tank and more upgraded mud guards.
Since the models original launch right up to it's last generation addition in 2006, it went head to head with the likes of the Yamaha Warrior and the Street Rod model from Harley Davidson.
Well for the latest 2006 addition of the Honda VTX 1800, it is sold brand new from the dealer themselves for a total of £5,499.
