German brand BMW have recently confirmed that they are to recall a number of older 3 series models after issues have risen over a faulty air bag malfunction in the vehicle. The older line up is most affected by this particular issues and the models from years 2000 to 2006 will be affected. It has been confirmed by the mass manufacturer that the total number of 3 series models set to be recalled currently stands at around 1.6 million. The air bags themselves were not originally fitted by BMW themselves and came courtesy of a third party company named Takata.

Japanese brand Toyota have officially put production of their vehicles in India to a halt. There was a dispute of wages paid for staff in the two factories that currently reside in India which left the brand no other alternative than to stop production for now altogether. The two factories are located just outside of Bangalore and around 700 vehicles from Toyota are produced there on a daily basis. Altogether we see that 6,400 member of staff will be affected by this 'lockout' as they are stating it to be. It has been stated that Toyota bosses were concerned over the health and well being of their workers in the two Indian factories as supervisors were being threatened and abuse of staff had a big role to play in the final decision.

Some sad car industry news today regarding two of the world biggest car manufacturers from Japan, Honda and Nissan. The two companies are announcing more vehicle recalls which will add to the tally from last year regarding faulty air bags in some of their vehicles. The recalls last year were world wide as are these new ones that add to the tally. Honda and Nissan are two of the most well known car manufacturers known world wide. They both have proven to be a household name for is this number of recalls affecting them in a bad way ?. Well things are going pretty bad for the Honda firm right now as they are announcing job losses at their Swindon factory and now with production dropping more vehicles are being called in. Nissan have been on a high over the recent years thanks to success on their Qashqai models and the Juke vehicle but is this a drop down for them ?.

The Japanese car and motorbike firm Honda are one of the worlds finest when it comes to the car industry. Over the recent years we have seen them make it big on the new and second hand car markets with vehicles such as the Civic and the Jazz amongst many more. The factory they have in Swindon here in the UK is one of the UK plants that design these two specific vehicles but production could drastically be cut for these models at the Swindon plant over the course of the next year. It has been confirmed sadly that job cuts are set to take place at the factory which could potentially mean a loss of around 500 jobs.

In some of the latest vehicle industry news today affecting the American car company known as Ford and some of their customers, the mass manufacturer has stated that they are recalling a huge amount of 1.4 million vehicles back to the production line in the US. The reasoning behind this recall is that a loss of power steering could soon occur in a range of different SUV models that the company currently has on offer around the US. The American firm have certainly proven to be one of the most recognised car companies around the world over the years since they were established a long time ago back in June of 1903. They are responsible for some of the finest selling cars around the world which include the likes of the Fiesta, the Focus and the Taurus which is one of the cars all set for the recall.

Electric vehicles are quite popular at this particular time, we have seen brands such as the Toyota company and the German automaker BMW include EV models to their line up over the past number of years. Today it has been confirmed that a companies full range is set to be kitted out with a V6 diesel electric engine and that company we are referring to is Audi. It has been confirmed that the full Audi line up will receive this new EV engine range further down the line with the first model set to receive this engine being the A8 e-tron. Chief technical officer of Audi Dr.Hackenberg confirmed the A8 will be the first model on the agenda for the car firm. Electronic vehicles are quickly rising to fame and could very well be a considerable option for all car brands into the future. So for Audi a company who are famous for for doing everything there is to do in the car industry, this could be a very huge step.
