In the word of motorbikes, many models are released each year that establish themselves as a perfect riding experience. Over the years we have seen the likes of Japanese company Yamaha do this with the R1 and R6 models and the German brand BMW with many touring bikes. Speaking of touring bikes, that is where our review for today fits into place. We focus today on the Multistrada 1200 s Gran Turismo model from Italian company Ducati. This bike is a touring model that not only looks great but is said to be an all round good riding experience also. What does the Ducati 1200 s Gran Turismo deliver on ?
Well the term Gran Turismo is Italian for Grand Tour. Very fitting considering the nature of this machine. It could very well go down as one of the best touring models available for 2014 but, what helps put it there and even helps it go head to head with the likes of other top companies such as Suzuki and the Honda company ?. Well spec wise we see that the new 1200s consists of an 1198cc engine which is also joined alongside by an electronic fuel injection system and a liquid cooling system. We see that this engine puts out a total of 150 horse power overall. Noise reduction is a big part of this Ducati machine also as we see that in the past Ducati bikes have been considered as quite noisy. The inclusion of a stainless steel muffler for the exhaust system helps reduce noise with this model too.
As standard you can expect to receive a six speed transmission system and a tubular steel frame also comes along with this Ducati model too.
In regards to the look and design of the 1200s model, we see that it is made available in two separate paint schemes which include Red and Silver. If we had to choose a colour scheme we would personally go for the Red as it stands out much better.
