The new Volkswagen Amarok Canyon is here

German brand Volkswagen have a good selling vehicle on their hands and have done since the original launch of the very first Amarok model which was originally introduced back in 2010. The vehicle comes in the form of a pick up truck style model but has proven to be a good buy for drivers looking for that sort of thing. Today though we are reporting on one of the latest variants of the car to go on sale here on European markets which comes along with some new styling tweaks and and extra pieces of equipment. This all new Amarok Canyon model could be one of the best variants in the line up yet but how does it differ from other additions to the range from years past ?.

The new changes and tweaks to the Amarok Canyon

Well firstly we should bring to your attention that this particular model will only be available as 350 units and no more. So to point out, the chances of finding one of these vehicles could prove to be quite slim.

Regarding what the vehicle can do power wise, we see that the German company behind it have included the use of a 1968cc engine which comes in the manner of a diesel and comes twin turbocharged. An overall top speed of 108 miles per hour is produced from the Canyon version and we see that it is helped along to this speed limit by the 11.3 seconds in which it takes the vehicle to reach the 62 miles per hour area from a standstill. In total thanks to the engine included, we see that the Canyon puts out an overall power source of 178 brake horse power. An eight speed, automatic transmission system also comes along with this new addition.

Regarding those extra pieces of equipment that come along with this vehicle, we see that Volkswagen have also included the likes of a six inch infotainment system,19 inch alloy wheels, heated leather seating and front and rear parking sensors also come along for the journey.

As far as rivals go for this particular model, we can see the likes of The Navara from Japanese firm Nissan making an impact also and the likes of the Ford company with the Ranger could also prove to be a good strong source of competition.

What's the cost of a brand new Volkswagen Amarok Canyon ?

Sadly the price range for this model is slightly higher than that of it's rivals which comes in at £37,841. As far as finding one of these vehicles goes, a total of 350 units have gone on sale so select Volkswagen showrooms may still stock this particular model but, a good look around may be needed.
