The Mercedes AMG-C63 on the way this year

Mercedes Benz have come out and stated that their brand new AMG addition in the form of the C63 will officially go on sale from this coming November. The brand new addition to the AMG family has all of the potential to go on and become one of the best selling Mercedes vehicles of all time. It is also set to be one of the most powerful models in the AMG line up. We now however have a better understanding of just what we can come to expect from the new before it receives its debut showing at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September. It is believed that this new car will result in the biggest source of competition for the M4 addition introduced on the road by BMW. When this is taken into consideration, power is obviously the key benefactor here.

What kind of power will the AMG-C63 give out?

So speaking of the power, Mercedes will look to contend with BMW by serving up 503 units of brake horse power which will all be delivered by a twin turbocharged V8 engine. Impressive?. We certainly think so. Mercedes will also look to ensure that a unique and comfortable driving experience is also delivered upon by the vehicle by offering rear wheel drive on the range. The Coupe version of the car though will feature a revised suspension setup and a few minor upgrades to the chassis of the car. There will also be an S version included amongst the range which will allow the driver to control the car in race mode. Other driving modes including Sport, Sport Plus and Comfort however all come along with the range as standard.

The AMG-C63 is shaping up to be a fine addition into the companies range but will the price tag to come along with the vehicle give it that added edge over the BMW M4?.

How much can we expect the AMG-C63 to cost?

The official price tag that will come along with the range has not been confirmed by Mercedes Benz directly as of yet. However the expectation for the new car is that a cost of just over the £60,000 area. This remains unconfirmed for the moment. Prices for the M4 are in the fifty six thousand area which means it would be slightly cheaper. The again Mercedes could always decide to take the price down a little in order to match that of the M4. We expect to hear more on this closer to the time of launch.
