This coming Summer will see the arrival of the brand new GLC model from Mercedes Benz and in our post today we have you covered with all of the latest news and information we have on this brand new model. Recent images have been posted online which shows the new addition in all of its glory and out about testing on public roads. The brand are however doing their best to keep some new features under lock and key by using covering around the back end of the car in the latest snaps. The new GLC is set to be the brand new replacement for the GLK model but we will not see it as that when it launches here in Britain as due to issues with right hand drive the GLK never made it to our shores. Yet again Mercedes will add to their SUV range with this new model and it will join a market that will see some very interesting entrants this year including the Volvo XC90 and the new Q7 from rivals Audi. What features will the firm include with the car though that will help it to be a top class contender for these two anticipated cars?.
So at this moment in time, we do know of some of the special features that will come along with the brand new model and we are excited. Engine and performance wise,a twin turbocharged V8 petrol engine carrying four litres of fuel will be included underneath the bonnet and we can also expect to see an AMG variant of the GLC go on sale too. From the images that have been posted, we can see that the headlights and front grille have both been redesigned and the back end of the car will also feature new tail light designs. A brand new modular platform will be used in the car too which unlike the GLK will be available to drive in both left and right hand drive models depending on the customers preference. Technology wise for now rests with a new infotainment system with a built in screen and we also know of a multi functioning steering wheel also being included.
The brand new GLC will make its way to the road from this coming Summer which would mark around an August or September launch. An exact date is still yet to be confirmed though. As far as how much you would expect to pay out for the new SUV,around £30,000 is expected to be revealed as a starting area.
