Next year the Audi brand are all set to launch another SUV model onto our roads into a vastly developing SUV sector of the car industry. This new vehicle will make its way to us in the form of the brand new Q7 and the vehicle has been spotted testing once again but this time with a lot less disguise over the bodywork than what was seen earlier on this year. The vehicle is set to receive its first public reveal at the Detroit motor show this coming January and will replace the current Q7 which has been on sale since 2006. It was around the time of the first launch for the Q7 that the SUV market was beginning to grow bigger than ever. Just a little less than a year after its launch, Nissan introduced the world to now one of its biggest sellers on the market, the Qashqai. Now though with Audi introducing the second generation of this SUV can it be set once more to take the spotlight from its competitors around the world?.
A look forward to what the new Q7 will deliver
So regarding some of the brand new features that will find a place on the second generation model next year, the vehicle can now be clearly seen from the testing images taken showing some new features that find a place in the car. A brand new set of matrix LED headlights can be seen as can LED lights at the rear end of the car. An all new set of rectangle exhausts are also featured. At the front end of the model, a brand hexagonal grille can also be seen which shares the similar design of the grille that can currently be found on the new TT Coupe model for 2014.
Regarding the power situation and what source will provide the car with its energy next year, the firm are yet to confirm what units will come along with the car but there is much speculation at this moment in time as to what you can expect to find in the car from the time of launch. The three litre and 4.2 litre TDI that can be found in the current Q7 are expected to be carried over with this new model but will receive some tweaks. A range of turbo petrol engines are also expected to come along with the car too. An eight speed,automatic transmission system is believed to be included with the vehicles second life cycle and is also expected to drive on the same four wheel drive platform as the current model.
How much can you expect the Q7 to go on sale for?
News regarding a launch date for the vehicle is expected to be revealed from next years Detroit motor show with the car set to go on sale at some point in 2015. A price tag to come along with the car is also expected to come in at around £45,000.
