The Developments at Honda
Honda have this week announced a number of new and exciting developments, the first of which will be a new Honda Jazz. The Honda Jazz is arguably one of, if not the most popular Honda model on the roads of the UK today.
The New Honda Jazz model has taken most inspiration from the other successful models in the form of the latest Insight and CR-V models. The Jazz model is sold under the name of Fit in other countries across the globe and this models seems to have been on a diet of its own. The model seems to have lost a considerable amount of weight and width as it looks to improve the fuel economy of the vehicle.
The New Jazz model will be amongst a number of developments including a hybrid model as well as an EV. This will allow the Jazz model to be powered on electricity alone for the smaller journeys.
Honda have also been looking at the development of a Renault Twizy rival in the form of a micro commuter. The small development was first seen in November last year and was rumoured to have been powered by a 15kw Lithuim ion battery. The Renault Twizy has not been a hugely successful vehicle as it was promised to act in the same way as a motorcycle would in congested areas of traffic.
However, Honda plan to assess the capabilities of its main rival and see if the Japanese firm can promise what the French manufacturer in Renault could not deliver with the Renault Twizy model.
Another development that the majority of Honda enthusiasts will be excited about is, the development of the new Honda Civic Type R. The Latest development of the Honda Civic model has been recently spotted on the Nurburgring track and is due for further testing in the early Autumn.
