The New BMW M4
The New BMW M4 model is said to be one of the most eagerly anticipated vehicles in the automotive industry. The new M4 model is due to be revealed by BMW at the next motor show in January and will have a predicted power output of 424bhp.
The new BMW M4 prototype model has already received rave reviews and is being compared to feeling and performing close to that of a super car without the same figures of course. The BMW model is said to be faster, lighter and greener than any of the other versions of the BMW M4 and also set to feature a new wave of technology that will set the market alight.
Official figures are yet to be released by the M4, however, the German based brand claim that both of the M branded models will emit less than 200 g/km of CO2. BMW have paid close attention to the weight and power of the model as it has looked to put all models on the range on an automotive diet.
BMW have recently been focusing on a number of new ventures including that of joining the electric car market. The Nissan Leaf has dominated the electric car market within the UK in the past 12 months and has forced the likes of BMW and Mercedes to stand up and take notice.
Both the German manufacturers have decided to join the electric car market with BMW creating the new I Range which is different to the likes of Ford and Volkswagen who have decided to release electric versions of the current best selling models.
Ford are planning to release electric versions of the Ford Focus and Volkswagen plan on releasing the Volkswagen E-Golf and the VW E-Up. However, it will be interesting to see whether or not the BMW I Range will do better than that of the Ford Focus E type or the Volkswagen E-Golf.
