BMW X1 replacement-Mazda CX-3 specs and price-Audi's new EV


BMW have revealed some information regarding the vehicle that will officially replace their X1 model later on into the course of this year. The head of design for the German firm Karim Habib has revealed some official information regarding the styling and design of the replacement. He commented on the car by stating that the next model will fit more in line with the rest of the X range and will feature some sportier looks including much larger design cues which we would expect to include the bumpers and side skirting aswell as other features. Other news we know of the car is that it will be available in either front or four wheel drive and will carry some unknown interior changes too. Power and performance wise we are looking forward to hearing more about this car towards the Summer time of this year.

 

New Audi EV details emerge

We all saw the reveal of the new Audi R8 last week from the Geneva Motor Show as it was one of the most talked about vehicles of the entire event. Alongside the revealing came the news that an all electric e-tron version of the car would also be on the way. Some news emerged after this however though that stated the brand are in the midst of producing an all electric SUV for the future. Today we have more information on the brand new vehicle that the company are producing. It has been confirmed that the car will carry the same electric technology that will be found in the R8 model. The new model is expected to break boundaries for the firm as they reveal that around 313 miles will be made achievable by the car from a single charge. A 90 Kwh battery is to be fitted to the car which will power it. The chances are that the new SUV will be badged as an e tron model as Audi have said that they don't think an electric car is right for their Q range. For the moment though we dont have any more information regarding a time scale for the launch of the new vehicle or how much it will go on sale for but as soon as we have any more information on this particular model, we will keep you informed.

 

Mazda CX-3 information announced

Over the weekend the Mazda brand have come out and revealed the pricing for their new CX-3 model when it launches here in the United Kingdom and they have also revealed the range of specifications to come along with the new car. Mazda are not wasting any time as our first glimpse of the car came just last week. So kicking us off we take a look into the engine range to come along with the car. The brands popular SKYACTIV technology has been confirmed to find its place inside the car. A total of eleven petrol engines aswell as seven diesel engines are up for grabs. The main new engines to be thrown into the mix however include the 1.5 litre diesel which now meets Euro emission standards. A two litre petrol SKYACTIV setup is also new to the car which is expected to be a popular seller.

Moving forward with the range of features you can expect to find inside of the CX-3, a DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity and a seven inch touchscreen are all items which come along with the car as standard. You can however get more for you money with higher trim levels including SE-L and Sport Nav throwing in equipment such as parking sensors,cruise control,heated seating and stability control. The time of launch for the car is expected to be later on this year and prices have been confirmed to begin from £17,595.
