BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer-Ssangyong Tivoli crossover-Toyota Corolla

There is a strong possibility that the Corolla from Toyota may be all set to receive a mid life facelift. When the brand revealed their new Auris model from the Geneva Motor Show they also played a video which shown the new direction in which the company were to set to take their technology range. That is not the big story here though. During that video, an image was taken of the screen which shown what appeared to be a new Corolla model receiving some new changes. The model was snapped with a view of the front end of the car which was shown in a plain Black colour option carrying chrome striping across the front of the bonnet with the Toyota logo taking its pride of place in the centre of the strip. The front grille also spanned the width of the vehicle with chrome stripes across the bottom over curved at the top. This is of course just speculation for the time being with no confirmation of this being a new Corolla confirmed. After seeing this image though we would not be surprised to see the car make an appearance further down the line for European sales.

The 2 Series Gran Tourer takes its place in Geneva

German car brand BMW have revealed their latest 2 Series addition to the world after a grand revealing in Geneva Switzerland. The new model named the Gran Tourer according to BMW makes history by being the first vehicle of its kind to offer a seven seater format. The BMW will be available in either front wheel drive or all wheel drive forms and a total of six different engines will also go on sale with the car using both three cylinder and four cylinder technology. The car looked very wonderful in Geneva under the bright lights with a light Blue paint design and added body creasing in the bonnet. Tinted windows at the back end of the car were also visible.

Coming over from previous 2 Series models is the double kidney grille and chrome surround around it. Power has been said to begin from 116bhp and will work its way up depending on the engine range chosen to 192 brake horse power. The car inside carries luxurious fittings as you may expect. White leather seating accompanied by a White leather dashboard just add to the comfort that is the 2 Series Gran Tourer. A multi functioning steering wheel is brought into play alongside a sat nav system which means that BMW will still offer some good technology as a part of their range too.

Ssangyong reveal a Tivoli crossover

SsangYong for the moment are not the most popular manufacturer in the United Kingdom as they have not sold many vehicles on our continent. Ssangyong could be looking to change all of that though by introducing the world to their very own crossover model. No confirmation has been given that this new model will go on sale here in the UK but if it were it could be set to change the way we look at the brands vehicles. Put on display with a Red paint scheme, LED daytime running lights and Black alloy wheels, the new crossover is a Tivoli crossover. The brand confirmed both a diesel and a petrol engine will become available with the new car both carrying 1.6 litres a piece and developing 110bhp for the diesel and 126 for the petrol. The brand also confirmed that as another option for the customer, automatic and manual transmission systems are available across the range. Ssangyong will also look to take their range to the next level by offering different driving models with the car including standard Normal driving mode,Sport and Comfort mode which is more than likely going to make the car a softer ride than the other two selections. Heated front seating,a leather steering wheel, both Bluetooth and USB connectivity and a keyless entry system were just some of the gadgets and technology announced.
