SsangYong Tivoli revealed-Volkswagen Golf R400-New Kia Sportage

The Golf R400 is a much more power focused version of the ever popular Volkswagen Golf and is a concept vehicle at this moment in time. Our very first taste of the vehicle came from the Bejing Motor Show just under a year ago now and the car has been put on display again but this time in Detroit. The feedback that the Golf R400 received was very good and the odds of the vehicle going on to make the production line are now looking more positive than ever before. The technical chief for Volkswagen has commented on the potential future of the car by saying that “I personally think we have a good prospect to do it”. We know what you are thinking, what about the Golf R?. Well you would be right to think that. As we all know, the Golf R is the more power based version of the popular hatchback but to clear things up, the new R400 concept contains the same two litre, petrol engine. The big difference is that the power has been boosted even more as proven by 395bhp. No confirmation has been stated directly as of yet regarding the production of the vehicle but as soon as many more information is revealed regarding a possible future for the car, we will keep you in the know.

The SsangYong Tivoli is revealed in Korea

With all eyes on the Detroit Auto Show this week, other big motoring news stories may slip under the radar here and there. SsangYong have made sure that it doesn't happen to them though by revealing their brand new Tivoli model for the very first time. The car has now been revealed in Korea with the news also coming out that us fans here in the United Kingdom will receive the car in dealerships here later on this year. Making its way to us as a family sized vehicle, the new car will feature both comfort and power and could prove to be a good seller that bring the fight to other top selling SUV models on the market this year. SUV's are not in short supply this year as Audi launch the Q7 and the XC90 from Volvo is launched. So what does the Tivoli bring to the table to guarantee a successful launch?. With our first look into the power source for the vehicle, we see that the Korean firm have included the fitting of a 1.6 litre petrol engine from the time of launch although the same capacity diesel engine will shortly follow. The car runs on a four wheel drive platform with a manual six speed transmission. Customers will be able to opt for an automatic unit too. SsangYong are looking to come in big with the new model by offering some great standard kit aswell. It will be one of the few cars in the UK to offer HDMI connectivity. Both back and front parking sensors, heated seating,a heated steering wheel and seven air bags completely standard are some of the other personal highlights to find their place in the new Tivoli. The car will go on sale from June this year but SsangYong have yet to reveal a price tag to come along with the car.
