The weekly Motorcycle news round up for 20-02-2015

It is that time of the week for our weekly motorcycle news report and although the motorbike world has been reasonable quiet this week, we have managed to gather three very special news stories which have all emerged over the past number of days. The very first item on our agenda today comes to us from MV Agusta who have over the past twenty four hours revealed their brand new F4 RC model to the world. The new bike will be used in the next season of the World Superbike Championship but as far as the track is concerned, only limited numbers of the bike will be made available for customers. The bike has been made available with power of 212 brake horse power for the track based version. An image was posted with the bike in brand new form with the models designers stood behind it. The bike has been shown in a bright Red and White paint job much like you could expect to see on the Ducati 998 range. It carries a White furring and the wheels are in a golden design. The new model could prove to be the key factor in the World Superbike Championship for this season and there are high expectations for the new F4 RC when it makes its debut.

Piaggio scooters have been recalled

Piaggio are an Italian maker of scooters who are perhaps most well known for their range of Vespa scooters. They are some of the biggest selling scooters on the road but some unfortunate news has sadly hit the company and some of their buyers with a new batch of recalls being issued on both Piaggio and Vespa scooter. The problem with the scooters are due to a defective fuel pump. The impella which is used in the fuel pumps has been said to grow larger in the scooters which could therefore lead to not enough fuel passing through. A total of 2,613 models are affected by these latest recalls with models designed from 2008 to 2001 on the list. Vespa GTV 250,GTV 300 Vespa,GTS 250,GTS 300,GTS super 250 and GTS Super 300 are all affected. Piaggio BV 250,Piaggio BV350 and Piaggio MP3 250 are all affected. Piaggio have said that the local dealers will be calling these models back in and they will replace the defective fuel pump.

New Honda machine for the 2015 Moto GP displayed

Well we are just a month away from the beginning of the 2015 Moto GP world championship and one of the big talking points has been the move of rider Cal Crutchlow who has made the jump from Ducati and will now find his place within the Honda team for this years season. The British racer has not found much success in the past riding for Kawasaki or Ducati but is hoping that his move to Honda for 2015 will be the big advantage that he needs. The rider himself along side his racing partner for Honda Jack Miller have officially unveiled their new models at a nightclub event for the very first time. Although information regarding the power to be displayed is being kept quiet for the moment, we will see the new model on the track for the first time when it enters pre season testing in Malaysia next week. Images of the bike show a White paint job with the CWM team decals in Blue and the Green Castrol design at the bottom of the bike. Golden design wheels complimented by golden forks were also on display. The bike is indeed looking good but it all comes down to how well it can perform when it goes on the track that counts.
