There has certainly been a lot of hype and anticipation behind the latest addition to Vauxhalls Corsa line up which is set to arrive on our streets in 2015. It was last week however live from the Paris motor show that the mass manufacturer officially revealed their brand new addition to the range and officially confirmed the production of their brand new VXR Corsa model which has been under speculation for a number of months. The Corsa is one of the biggest selling city cars of all time keeping up with competition such as the Ford Fiesta and the Renault Clio. It is a vehicle that has been available on our roads since September of 1982 now just past the thirty two year anniversary, the brand have revealed the fourth installment to their ever growing franchise. It has been confirmed that both three and five door variants of the car will be made available from the time of launch and will feature a selection of both petrol and diesel units. Don't let a brand new design structure fool you though as the company have confirmed that some classic features that you love about your current Corsa will be carried over too. Both new and old features are hoped to maintain a great level of success for the new Corsa addition.
So with the engine range in mind, we see that Vauxhall have included a selection of units for you to choose from which include the likes of a direct injection unit with both 89bhp and 113 bhp up for grabs. A 1.2 litre petrol delivering 69 brake horse power and a non turbo 1.4 litre unit are also made available. A 1.3 litre diesel unit which comes in the manner of the CDTi is also put on offer with two different power deliverances becoming available. The lighter side of the unit sees a power output of 74bhp but if you opt for the more powerful version you can expect to see an increase of 20 bhp bring the total to 94bhp.
There are a lot of new features to come along with the car that have not been revealed as of yet although we do know of some that do. Features like a rear parking camera,a parking assistance system, automatic braking and Bi xenon headlights are some neat features that make the 2015 Corsa addition a special vehicle to own. Prices for the car and any of its seven total trim levels are yet to be confirmed however, prices are expected to begin around the £9,000 area rising upwards varying on trim levels.
On top of the announcements regarding the brand new Corsa model for 2015, the firm also revealed that the much anticipated VXR model which has been rumoured for months now is officially a go. A brand new revised suspension system has been included with the VXR which delivers on a much smoother driving experience for a Corsa, a brand new set of 17 inch alloy wheels and the electronic power assisted steering which can be found on some Corsa models right now has also been altered too.
