The Spanish car brand Seat have officially made an impact today at the opening day of the Paris motor show. The manufacturer have officially revealed their brand new addition the Leon family which is all set to make its way to you in the shape and form of the brand Leon X- Perience model. The vehicle is much wider and taller than the standard Leon hatchback and receives some brand new changes which include alterations to the trim levels, all new body cladding and a 4x4 drivetrain. The Leon alongside the Ibiza is one of Seats biggest selling models of all time. It was first launched around the world back in 1999 and the vehicle is currently enjoying its third life cycle on our roads. So what new features confirmed the X-Perience model could help to maintain such good levels of success for the Seat brand?.
So regarding some of the brand new changes that have been announced for this new variant of the Leon this morning, we see that one of the main focus points for the brand is much wider body design structure which mainly affects the door sills and wheel arches that come with the car. A brand new set of chrome exhaust pipes are also thrown in as are the options of either 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels. The front bumper of the car has also received some new changes made to the front end of the vehicle which is now offered in an aluminium finish. The interior could be a key selling point for the vehicle in the future also as both Alcantara and leather is offered to the customer at the official time of purchase. Boot space has also been vastly increased this time around up to 1,470 litres.
Both petrol and diesel engines are offered on the brand new X-Perience model as we see the vehicle receive some great options. Both TSI petrol and TDI diesel are options. The engine that could be the big seller is the one that puts out the most power and that comes in the shape and form of the 2.0 litre variant this version of the car has also been confirmed to contain a DSG transmission system too. It has been confirmed that a different variant of this diesel engine will also be offered which will put out 148 brake horse power a standard six speed transmission system will also find a place in this variant. One of the newest features to find a place in the car is also the addition of stop start technology. The Volkswagen Golf and the Kia Ceed have delivered on a lot of competition for the Leon over the years and with the new X-Perience model taking a more estate approach we do have to wonder as to whether the new Golf Alltrack model and the Kia Optima will deliver on some bigger competition?.
It has been confirmed by Seat that the new Leon X-Perience will arrive in Seat showrooms from the Autumn time in 2015 with an exact date and price tag to come along with the car, expected to be confirmed closer to the time.
