Peugeot confirm the 308 GT to go on sale this November

Over the past number of months, a new variant of the Peugeot 308 has been spotted out and about testing on the roads and it was last week live from the Paris motor show that the French car manufacturer behind the idea officially confirmed the car to be the 308 GT and stated that it will officially go on sale on European markets from this coming November. The 308 is one the companies most beloved and biggest selling vehicles on the market today and we have seen it achieve a great deal of success all around the world ever since the very first generation of the car was launched back in 2008. It was just year that the car was awarded the car of the year award for European markets beating the likes of the Golf from Volkswagen and the Ford Fiesta to the chase. What new changes do come into play though with the GT addition and what extra features you can expect to find coming alone with this variant?.

The brand new specifications and features of the Peugeot 308 GT

So in regards to some of these brand new changes to take an effect with this GT variant, we see that the car is a lot more power orientated than the standard hatchback model. The new power and performance side of things will be demonstrated by the welcome addition of a 1.6, THP petrol engine. With the addition of a turbo charger linked up the engine,we see an average power development of 202 brake horse power and which helps the vehicle to max out at top speeds of 146 miles per hour. C02 emissions have also altered slightly as the GT is expected to emit around 130g/km. This is helped thanks to the standard fitting of a six speed, manual transmission system. There is however a diesel option all set to go on sale with the car in November if that's what grabs your interest more. The welcome addition of a 2.0 litre,Blue HDI developing 178 brake horse power thanks to the automatic transmission joins the petrol unit as an option.

Some of the changes to the vehicle in general are quite interesting as the height of the car has been decreased by 7mm and 10mm at the back end of the car. The vehicle has also been confirmed to be made available in both hatchback and estate variations from the time of launch too. A brand new sports suspension system and a set of 18 inch alloy wheels are also thrown into the mix for the new powerful 308 GT.

When can you order the Peugeot 308 GT?

Unfortunately at this stage in time, nothing has been confirmed as far as a price tag to come along with the GT is concerned but we do however know that the car will officially became available to order from your local Peugeot dealership this coming November.
