New Peugeot 108

The new Peugeot 108 will be going on sale in July of this year, with prices expected to start from somewhere in the region of £8,245. The models are of course part of the agreement with Toyota and Citroen to build the small city car on a joint platform.

The Toyota Aygo and the Citroen C1 alongside the Peugeot 108 have been amongst the best selling models in the small city car segment. The second generation of models are set to reaffirm the positions of the three manufacturers.

Over the last 24 months, Peugeot and Citroen have been struggling for both sales and capital as the European car market slumped to a stand still. However, with the new small city cars and other models such as the Citroen C4 Cactus and the Peugeot 308, the French mass market manufacturer are set to return to profitable ways.

The Citroen C4 Cactus is arguably one of the most eagerly anticipated models in the past few years. The model has been appearing at various motor shows at different stages of production and has captured the imagination of many of the worlds automotive enthusiasts. The new futuristic looking model is set to enter the market at a price of just £13,000 and is tipped to be amongst the best selling models in the UK this year.

On the other hand, Peugeot have recently won the car of the year with the 308 model. The latest 308 model at Peugeot is set to give the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Volkswagen Passat some very healthy competition. The saloon segment is set to boom in the next 24 months as a host of manufacturer look to join the new market.

Amongst the most exciting brands to join the saloon market is Jaguar. The British based brand is set to release the XE model, which is set to be both cheaper and more fuel efficient than that of the 3 Series and the Volkswagen Passat.

The new Peugeot 108 model is set to join the market in July of this year and will be fitted with the DAB radio and the 15 inch alloy wheels as standard.
