The brand new Vauxhall Adam S will officially arrive on our roads from January of next year and is all set to be revealed at this years Paris motor show. The manufacturer have now officially confirmed some brand new details regarding the specs of the car and what kind of engine the vehicle will benefit from. The version of the car that Vauxhall have addressed is now the final production version of the Adam S and is the version that will be launched unlike the pre production version of the car which was originally seen earlier on this year at the Geneva motor show. The very first Adam model was produced in 2012 and has since this time been one of the finest city cars in terms of sales and a good all round driving experience that the Vauxhall brand currently have on offer. This version of the Adam will receive some brand new features and is also more power orientated than the last version of the car to be launched onto our streets.
So in regards to these brand new features that have been officially confirmed for the car, we see that the car comes fully fitted with a a turbocharged 1.4 litre petrol unit that will see 148 units of brake horse power developed. A standard six speed manual transmission system will also come along with the Adam S as standard. This works out at 49bhp more than the original first launched Adam. With this new engine coming into play, we see that the Adam is capable of making the sprint from 0 to 62 miles per hour in a time of just 8.5 seconds. There are also some features regarding both the interior and exterior of the Adam S which have also been included and these consist of the likes of 18 inch alloy wheels,a newly designed bodykit, a new spoiler,Recaro sports seating and a brand new infotainment system.
With these new power rates and features revealed by the brand, we see the Adam S being a great rival for other power orientated city cars like the Fiesta and their very own Corsa VXR model in the future.
It has been confirmed that following a reveal at this years Paris motor show, the car will officially arrive on our roads from January of next year. There is no word on a price tag to come along with the car as of yet but we are expecting to hear more on this situation over the course of the next few months.
