Ford reveal the pricing of the UK's first Mustang

It has been a big day for the forthcoming Mustang here in the UK from American car firm Ford. Earlier on today the company officially confirmed that the higher spec Shelby version of the car will also go on sale in Britain after some doubt over the past few weeks. This afternoon however, the company officially confirmed the pricing for the brand new Mustang and a full range of its new specifications to come with it from the time of launch. Both the convertible and Coupe versions of the car have also been confirmed with their price range and specs. It will be the first time that the Mustang has gone on sale in Europe throughout its fifty plus year lifecycle in the United States.

What specifications have Ford confirmed for the Mustang?

So along with the pricing announcement today, the firm also stated that customers will be able to choose from three engine choices with the car. These include the entry level 2.3 litre,Ecoboost engine,a five litre V8 and another V8 engine option which is to be made available in the convertible Mustang. Power differs quite considerably between the engines with the entry level 2.3 litre seeing 310bhp and the V8 roaring in at 412bhp.One of the quickest engine choices in the range is the V8 which will see the muscle car make the sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just four and a half seconds.

Looking now outside of the car and we see that all three choices are fitted with nineteen inch alloy wheels,Xenon headlights and performance tuned brakes. Directing our attention inside of the Mustang now and we see that Ford have included the additions of their new SYNC 2 voice control system,a colour infotainment screen available in colour also comes as standard. With features like these and a good vast range of power, the likes of the Nissan 370Z Nismo could be considered to be one of the biggest contenders on the road for the Mustang to do battle with when it goes on sale this year.

What prices were confirmed for the new Mustang?

Prices have been confirmed to be starting from £28,995. If you decide to opt for the convertible version of the car, you can expect to pay a cost of £32,995 or if fitted with an automatic transmission system will range in from £38,495.
