A
Ford Focus ST facelifted prototype has been spotted being performance tested at the Nurburgring. Pictures can be seen across the internet of the 2014 facelifted Ford Focus ST.
The car is heavily disguised at the rear and the front and the new Ford Focus ST is likely to receive a fresh new look, which would bring it up to date with the Ford Mondeo and the Fiesta supermini, which have been recently facelifted.
It could be said that the
Ford Focus ST third generation is one of the best value for money hot hatches that is available currently and it's looks, which have been updated, will only increase the appeal for it. Like the Mondeo and the Fiesta, the Ford Focus ST is likely to get a front grille and tweaked highlights in the style of an Aston Martin, though on the spy pictures that can be found on the internet, are heavily concealed by camouflage.
There are classis styling cues usually found with an ST, like the twin exhausts which are centrally mounted, bigger wheels, larger side skirts and a lower ride height will remain.
The revised
Ford Focus ST model will more than likely hit showrooms at the start of next year, with an official unveiling possible before the end of 2013. The starting price for the model is expected to remain the same as the current one, at £21,995, which undercuts rivals like the Renaultsport Megane and the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
